EVENTS
MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS Our retiree's class meets on Thursday morning at 10am, usually with a lunch outing to follow. We are currently studying the Harmony of the Gospels! Come join us for these studies.
This is an annual event in which there is a wild game cook-off, outdoor activities, and raffle prizes! This is a great opportunity to try foods or activities that you may have never tried before.
EASTER EGG HUNT Each spring, VcC hosts an annual Community Easter Egg Hunt. Activities for children are abundant! AUGUST SERIES Wednesday nights in August are always a blast! During this time, VcC invites guest speakers from various churches of Christ in the surrounding areas to bring us thought-provoking lessons about family, friends, and life!
Each August, VcC hosts this celebration to pray over our young people as they re-enter the classroom.
This banquet honors graduating seniors each spring, allowing VcC to celebrate the lives of our graduates and prayerfully send them toward the next phase of life.
Any number of special activities are scheduled throughout the year. Summer also gives us the chance to spend time in fellowship with events such as float trips and baseball games. Several times throughout the year we will plan a trip to eat some catfish; this is always a fun trip!
In recognition of the fact that our children are our greatest resource and hope for sharing the Gospel in the future, VcC invests a great deal in our youth. Listed below are some of the activities within this Ministry.
Hosted by church families, this event is held following the evening service on each 3rd Sunday of the month. Youth, along with anyone who has ever been a youth, are invited to this event for a devotional, songs of praise, and a delicious meal!
VcC provides financial assistance to ensure that any of our young people who desire to do so, may attend any one of the numerous summer Bible camps throughout Arkansas. Our young people have participated in sessions at Camp Areopagus (Vilonia), Camp Caudle (near Russellville), Barton Bible Camp (southwest Arkansas), Camp Tahkodah (near Batesville), Camp Wyldewood (Searcy), and Green River Bible Camp (northwest Arkansas).
During the school year, Wednesday evenings are a special time at VCC. A meal is provided in the Ministry Center beginning at 6:00 p.m. It is our prayer that this provides some relief to the busy schedules that many families endure during the week. These meals are currently on hold until further notice surrounding the Covid-19 situation! Following a brief period of corporate devotional, children ages 4 through 6th grade make their way to class for a period of challenging and exciting Bible lessons. Junior and Senior High students also have special classes designed to meet their unique needs.
VcC provides a Vacation Bible School for all ages each summer. There are fun classes, songs, and crafts. Lunch is provided!
