Sermons and Classes, taught by Matthew

DWJD
(our 2026 Theme)

All of our Sunday morning sermons for the year are presented here. There are twelve “theme” sermons, one per month, as well as others that cover a variety of Biblical topics. For a little more information about our theme, check out the page dedicated to it. The early videos are low-res quality as we had not yet installed our new audio/video setup.

GENESIS
(verse by verse)

This verse-by-verse study of GENESIS takes you on a journey spanning over two-thousand years of human history. Man's beginnings in the garden, his first exposure to temptation and sin, the flood of Noah, the call of Abraham, the offering of Isaac, the trials and tribulations of Jacob, and the faithfulness of Joseph, and so much more is brought to life in this weekly study.

Fundamental questions that people have asked for ages are answered here: Are we alone? Why are we here? Do we matter? Genesis has the answers, and they point us to the Maker and Master of everything, the One who formed us, gave us a purpose, and set in motion the plan for our salvation.

The first dozen or so weeks covers the opening of the book, from Creation, to the destruction of the Tower of Babel. The next dozen or so weeks covers the middle of the book, examining the life of Abraham and his son Isaac. The final dozen or so weeks covers the end of the book, exploring the family of Jacob and the deeds of his son Joseph.

Genesis is overflowing with incredible moments, timeless lessons, and captivating accounts. You do not want to miss this study!

Monthly bonus sermons

Every first Sunday of the month, we eat a meal together after morning worship. When that is done, we reconvene for additional singing, prayer, and to hear a bonus sermon. These are usually shorter than the average sermon, but still come from the Bible and (hopefully) carry a spiritual lesson to help you through the week.

Monthly Bible Q&A

Every month, the preacher examines and answers Bible-related questions submitted by our members (and elsewhere). These are written in advance and studied beforehand, to ensure the best possible answer is given. If you have a Bible question, email us, or you can write it down and place it in the box in our foyer, or you can just tell the preacher in person while he’s chowing down on fried chicken during a potluck. There’s no rules here.

Jonah and Habakkuk
(verse by verse)

A brief study of two tremendous Minor Prophet texts. Jonah tells of a prophet who resisted the call to preach to pagan Gentiles. Habakkuk tells of a prophet who fretted over the idea that God would use pagan Gentiles to smite His people.
